Those vintage Mister and Missus towels, as well as the His and Hers towels, always seemed so prim and proper.
Until today . . .

Hmmmm….
Right?
First chuckle of the day, Kerry. And it happened after a show on the radio this morning on polyamory (not sure that’s right; heard of it, but the show was an eye opener). The towels would fit…
I had to look up ‘polyamory’…….. 🙂
It was a pretty surprising radio show, let me tell you.
Sounds intriguing …
I learn new things every day, it seems…
Great! 🙂
I bet! 🙂
Polyamory! A new word for me–so useful! 😉
Ha – Lisa has it canned 🙂 Your towels are leading the latest sexual revolution 🙂
Everything old is new again!
There’s a good story there….dating from….?
The towels are probably 1950s to early ’60s–that’s my guess.
BWAHHAHAHAHAWHAHAAAAA!!!
That’s what I said!
😀 😀 😀
Three happy, smiling faces! 😉 😉 😉
It made me smile too…..definitely charge a higher price for these.
The sad thing is I can’t really even list them for sale. The Mr. towel has a couple small holes . . .
😂😂😂 too funny! I wonder where “Hers” disappeared to?
Oh, she’s probably around somewhere! Or maybe she didn’t like the wife swapping?
Lol maybe not!
Oh, my!
😀
So what else is new? Historically, “his” has always covered a lot more territory.
Yes, His is a busy guy . . .
His… maybe for the son.😀
That’s an angle that hadn’t occurred to me!
My first thought from the photos, and after enjoying good image and laugh with the title, is that “Hers” was used and used and used until nothing was left of it. Or that perhaps a daughter took it with her when she traveled solo out into the world to give her strength and a bit of love from her family along the way. Polyamory is definitely “in”, so the set may indeed sell for a trio out in the world!
I’m sure the missing Hers towel has its own story to tell! And I doubt I’ll even list these towels for sale. The His towel has small holes and all the towels are in kind of iffy condition . . .
Well, they are sweet and made for fun story play.
Ooer Missus!
😀
The butler? hmmm…
The butler! That explains everything!
😂 Thanks Kerry, I needed that!
When I went through that pile of linens and came up with those three, it cracked me up, too!
Possibly the guy wants two towels. I wouldn’t be surprised.
True–my husband seems to go through twice as many bath towels as I do!
One never knows… 🙂
No, but one can wonder!
Hmmm, seems like a way to keep his (aka my) dirty hands off the dish-towel. – Oscar
There’s a new possibility I hadn’t thought of!
You’ve got it all wrong! It’s usually Mrs, Mr. and Hers. it’s always the guy with too many ladies. They may have outlawed it as legal but it’s still a thing. I don’t get the appeal but I don’t have to play that game. So maybe you can’t sell these as a set. 😦 Who knows, it takes all kinds to make the world. 😉
