The sun shines on a bottle.
The bottle holds a cold drink.
A stiff breeze blows across the top of the bottle.
It makes a special sound, a low “woooooo.”
There’s a lot of summer packed into that sound!

What a wonderful summer experience to sit outside close to the lake! Ahhhh love summer!
We have had a few of the MOST perfect days, with low humidity and a breeze. I wish I could make this last!
Cheers!
Right back at you!
Summer time and the living is easy la la la laaaaaaa
At least the late afternoons and evenings are easy!
And the sound changes with the volume of liquid. Lovely sound!
I wouldn’t know. I never drink out of the bottle, just listen to the sound (and if you believe that . . . ) 😉
Lol!!!
😀
😉
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Thanks for stopping by!
reminds me of my childhood………the wind over our bottles of coke! thanks for the bringing back the sound and memory in my mind!
Those childhood memories are the best. Isn’t there some guy who plays music by blowing over bottles that have different amounts of liquid in them?
I know that sound, I heard it as I read and it’s freezing here 😀
Oh, good–glad you could have a breath of summer during your cold months! I know you give me glimpses of your summer when we’re in the dead of winter!
….I hear it, with a gentle counterpoint of clinking icecubes! But for a truly chilly/cooling sound of the wind, try this (hope it doesn’t load the whole thing, if so, please do delete):

I got a very cute video of a little boy and a pet emu . . . but no wind?
Weird…. Let’s try again:

Love the embroidery to go with the slight breeze and the cold brew. 🙂
Oh, good for you, noticing the embroidery! That’s been my latest project–hope to show you more soon!
Now I know I’ve led a sheltered life…I’ve never heard that sound!
Get yourself a glass bottle of Coke or beer and go sit outside on a windy day!
There’s a whole lot of summer packed in that photo! Wonderful
I love photos that tell a story, like so many of yours do!
Did you have one for me? Hugs
You bet I did! 😉
Oh, that’s a good sound! Whether soda bottles or beer. Did you notice the beer bottle in your photo has directions on how to pour out? I wonder if that’s just for the American market. 😉
Actually, your comment got me to look up the Stella Artois website and “Pour Forward” is a clean water campaign they are doing with water.org. See? My beer drinking is for a good cause!
Ooh, I like that.
Ahhhhhhh, beautiful! You’ve said it all 🙂
No bottle this week, but I have been sitting outside doing some stitching every day this week, too, and it is lovely, even on hot days the shade is cool enough. Max takes a nap and “guards me.”😍 I could hear your bottle from here!
Stitching in the shade in the evening–you and me both! I have cats guarding me, though. Don’t tell Max.
I won’t, that would be a disaster! When the neighbor calls for her cat, SamWise, he nearly blows a gasket!
Sweet memories. I know that sound but never heard the breeze make it. We have had a gentle summer so far as well. Bracing myself. 😉
The sound coming from the bottle is kind of spooky, out of nowhere. I have a walking stick that has small holes on the side, to make it adjustable. Once, when hiking on a windy day, the wind blew across those holes just right and I got that same spooky sound! Kind of unnerving!
I can get spooked quite easily, Kerry so no holie walking sticks for me. 🙂
Wonderful!
Very evocative. Here, the sound is spooky, as the wind whistles through windows opened a crack. A visiting child once said the house was haunted.
I’ve heard that sound through the windows, too! I was just saying to another counter that I have a walking stick that has small holes on the side, to make it adjustable. Once, when hiking on a windy day, the wind blew across those holes just right and I got that same spooky sound! Kind of unnerving!
I love that sound. I create it every time I have an empty booze bottle.
A fitting tribute to an empty bottle! 😉
Yes, there is!
